Each year, the Houston chapter of PRSA recognizes achievements in Public Relations from the past year at the Excalibur Awards Gala. Gold, silver and bronze Excalibur Awards are given to the best campaigns, collateral and tactics submitted by PR teams across Houston. This year’s event was held on June 28, at the Rice Hotel Crystal Ballroom.
The Fifth Ring team was recognized for their work around the Hi-Con Training Center launch for Petrofac, Raytheon and NASA, which took home a Silver Excalibur Award in the Integrated Marketing Campaign category.
The Fifth Ring Houston office is excited to receive this esteemed award. “The Excalibur Awards judging process is very rigorous. Judges analyze the research, planning, implementation and evaluation of each campaign and weigh the scores to determine which entries are award worthy,” said Ed Davis, general manager and PR leader of the Houston office. “It’s great to be recognized by your peers for your hard work and dedication.”
Additionally, The Houston Business Journal announced the top-10 PR agencies in Houston based on local gross revenue, with Fifth Ring coming in at number 10.
“Being named one of the largest PR agencies in Houston for the second consecutive year is a great accomplishment for such a new organization,” Davis said. “The growth we have achieved in the past few years is outstanding.”
This award comes on the heels of other great Fifth Ring successes. The Aberdeen office team was also recognized in June at the Business Marketing Association (BMA) Awards for their hard work for Proserv with an award for Corporate Brand/Identity and Best in the Category of Corporate Tagline.
